WHAT IS REVERSE OSMOSIS?
Reverse Osmosis (RO) is an advanced form of water purification that offers the highest level of drinking water purification on the market today. Reverse Osmosis utilises a semi permeable membrane that purifies down to 0.0001 micron and removes totally dissolved solids (TDS) which are otherwise to small for standard carbon filtration to remove. To put this into perspective, one strand of human hair is 80-150 microns in thickness. Due to its extremely fine level of purification, RO can remove contaminants to a level that carbon filtration alone cannot such as fluoride, pharmaceuticals (recycled sewage water), arsenic, PFOS and PFAS (from firefighting chemicals that have leached into the local groundwater and dams) and much more. By investing in a Water3 H3O System, you can ensure that you and your family are drinking only the best quality of water available.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PURIFICATION AND FILTRATION?
The main difference between Reverse Osmosis and Carbon Filtration is the addition of the Reverse Osmosis Membrane. The Reverse Osmosis membrane enables the Reverse Osmosis System to remove more than standard carbon filtration alone, therefore making it a purifier, rather than just a filter.
DOES THE H3O REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM REMOVE FLUORIDE?
Yes, the Water3 H3O Reverse Osmosis System removes up to 96% of fluoride from the drinking water.
WHY DOES THE H3O REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM REQUIRE POWER?
The Water3 H3O System utilises an internal booster pump to ensure optimum purification and performance, as well as a digital control panel for easy use, monitoring and maintenance.
CAN I CHANGE THE FILTERS MYSELF?
Absolutely, the H3O quick change filters are designed to be easily changed with no tools required.
IF I MOVE CAN I TAKE IT WITH ME?
Yes, simply uninstall your H3O System and reinstall at your new address. (Registered plumber recommended)
WHAT IS THE WARRANTY ON THE H3O REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM?
The H3O Reverse Osmosis System comes with a 12-month warranty for peace of mind*.
*The H3O Reverse Osmosis System must be installed by a registered plumber to retain the warranty.
WHY DOES THE H30 HAVE AN ALKALINE FILTER?
The process of reverse osmosis is designed to remove totally dissolved solids from the water supply (TDS). Common TDS removed are arsenic, pharmaceuticals (from recycled sewage water), fluoride and many more however some of the beneficial minerals such as magnesium, potassium and calcium can be removed by default during the purification process. In addition to this, by removing these naturally occurring minerals the PH balance can be affected and quite often fall below neutral (7) which is considered acidic. The Alkaline filter is the last stage of the purification process, adding beneficial minerals back into the purified drinking water and therefore raising the PH of the water to 8+ which is considered alkaline. Alkaline water is believed to have many health benefits such as anti ageing properties, boosted immunity, improved metabolism, improved digestion, reduced reflux and much more.
DOES REVERSE OSMOSIS REMOVE BENEFICIAL MINERALS FROM THE WATER?
Yes, Reverse Osmosis Systems remove the good minerals, which can leave the water with a lower PH level than recommended for consumption. The H3O however incorporates a top of the range Alkaline Filter, which adds essential minerals back into the purified water such as calcium, magnesium and potassium. As a result, the Water3 H3O System offers fresh, great tasting purified water with the addition of beneficial minerals and a PH of 8+ (alkaline).
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF DRINKING ALKALINE WATER?
Drinking water from the Water3 H3O offers a higher PH level that is considered ‘alkaline’, so what are the benefits?
HOW CAN I TELL IF MY H30 SYSTEM IS WORKING CORRECTLY?
Unlike standard Reverse Osmosis Systems, the H3O System utilises a digital control panel that displays the current TDS (totally dissolved solids) output in your purified water. This allows you to quickly and easily monitor the quality of your water at any time and be alerted when the water quality is decreasing.
CAN I INSTALL THE H30 SYSTEM MYSELF?
In short, yes, however we cannot cover DIY installed systems under our 12-month product warranty. To retain your warranty, we recommend installation by a registered plumber.
DO REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEMS PRODUCE WASTEWATER?
Yes, all Reverse Osmosis Systems will produce wastewater. This is due to the clean water being separated from the contaminants, at the end of this process you are left with clean, purified water and wastewater that generally runs to drain.
Generally speaking, the reverse osmosis will offer a waste to purified ratio of 6:4 that is 6 Litres of wastewater is produced for every 4L of purified water. There are some factors that may affect this ratio such as water temperature, water pressure and the condition of the cartridges and membrane.
For the average household, the wastewater produced is equal to only 1 extra toilet flush per day.
CAN I USE THE H3O REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM ON TANK WATER?
Yes, however we recommend speaking with one of our customer service specialists to ensure the product is right for your tank water first.
THE TDS READING THROUGH MY PERSONAL TDS METER DOES NOT MATCH THE TDS ON THE H30 LED SCREEN
To ensure an accurate reading the TDS count on the H3O Digital Control Panel reads directly from the output of the Reverse Osmosis membrane, which is before the Alkaline Filter. If you’re taking a TDS reading from your filtered water faucet keep in mind that this will include the additional minerals that have been added by the Alkaline filter (which are TDS) which will raise the TDS ppm.
CAN I USE THE H30 ON BORE WATER?
Yes, however there are many factors to consider such as: what is the TDS ppm of your bore water, is the water pre-treated with a softener and sediment filter? What are the levels of sodium, iron and magnesium in the water? We highly recommend obtaining a Water Analysis and contacting one of our friendly customer service specialists to discuss prior to purchase.
